salsavin
Hello to all just another question im running a midi keyboard and vst via windows 10 pc into helix asio and would like to know if i can use the helix effects into the vst sounds ? All usb plugged Do i have to run 2 jacks out from the main mixer into the helix again ? rd2rk
If I understand you, you're taking your MIDI keyboard's MIDI OUT to the Helix MIDI IN, then using the Helix as the ASIO and MIDI Devices in your DAW where you have a Synth VST? How does a "main mixer" figure in - If Helix is the ASIO Device then the DAW's audio goes to Helix before any other mixer, so...? Helix effects are audio, not MIDI, which means that the VST needs to convert the MIDI to audio before Helix can use it. If you have Helix Native you can use the Helix FX in Native post vst. Without Native you would need to route the VST's audio output signal back to the Helix via USB, apply FX, then back to your DAW via USB to record, then back to Helix (it's the ASIO Device) to monitor the mix.
