rlagos144
I really like the sound and feel of the LF RAW mode on my powercab 212+ (amp in the room), so I am trying to get the same sound and feel for the speaker sims pairing the NATURAL preset with the LF RAW (they should sound and feel the same but they not) applying a 10 band EQ at the end of the chain to increase some frecuencies in the natural preset, I am getting closer but not quite there yet, any advice? after that I want to use that same EQ for the other speakers sims modes. amsdenj
Not sure why you want to try to make Natural sound like Raw, why not just use Raw? But if you did want to do that, you could record a loop in Helix, then play back and record the output in a DAW with the Natural and the Raw in separate tracks. Phase align the tracks, then use a tone matching plugin like the EQ in Logic Pro to help you find the EQ curve.
somebodyelse
Give it up. The clue is in the name - LF Raw. It's the speaker with no fluff, no EQ, no tweeter, nothing. You're playing your Helix/whatever straight in to a Class D amp with a speaker. You're actually hearing what the Powercab sounds like. There's no logic in EQ'ing a speaker sim to sound like the speaker with no speaker sim, when they actually provided it for you - it's like adding a body kit to an MR2 to make it look like a Ferrari and then adding another body kit over the top of it to make it look like an MR2

I was trying to have the same sound and feeling EQing the NATURAL with the LF RAW, to have a EQ curve to apply to the other speaker sims to have more highs and low thump, but then I realized what you said, the LF RAW sounds with a lot more high and low punch because is a FRFR speaker with no hi or low cuts at all, is the full range 70hz to 20Khz, the speaker sims recreate the guitar normal range 80-100hz to 5K so at low volume sounds muffled but at high volume sounds amazing and cuts really weel in the mix, so I stopped my search for the unicorn!
