I went through two Spider Jam amps in about 4 years. and I got to looking into the JM4 looper. The JM 4 looper is just the spider jam head converted to a floor model pedal board, which I think is great. The only problem I had,  The LCD display would fade out making it unreadable, and the effect knobs, (They are encoders not potentiometers) which after a while would tend to bleed into each other, and not being able to completely turning off the effects of the phaser, chorus and tremolo, and the tape echo, delay and sweep echo. I had to replace the lcd display which fixed the issue and I replaced the board on which the encoders are mounted to. That however did not fix my problem.. I found a few forums trying to find a solution to my problem, and the best I can come up with was the main processor chip on the main board did not have a heat sink on it. Which makes a little sense, but even when I first power up the amp, I still cannot turn the effect knobs all the way off. Does this floor model have the smae problem?
