Hi everyone. My problem is the following: i can't connect my HX Lt with my computer because (i thought) that my cable was dead. So i ordered a generic one on Amazon with the same result :no connection. I tried to use the original cable of a friend of mine and the connection  was perfect. Does anybody of you know where i can buy on original Line 6 cable for my HX Lt?? I've searched in line hi and low but i cant' find an answer. Thanks in advance to all of you!! Luca from Italy.

Some USB cables do not include data lines, only power lines for charging and operating from USB. I'm 99.99999% sure you don't need an original Line 6 cable, you just need a high-quality USB cable that's designed to handle data and power.

USB cable quality varies considerably. A generic one might simply be not that good. Remember too that USB cables, even the good ones, are not immune from going bad due to being bent, stepped on, pulled out by the wire instead of the connector, etc.

Also, the USB port you use on your computer matters so when testing, always make sure you're using the same port. The front-panel USB ports are often on a different controller with lower specs than the ports that are closer to the power supply. And of course, never use a USB hub.

Hope this helps!

Got this USB cable 5 years ago, and it's been absolutely fine all these years.  It's also longer than what the Helix comes with, that way I connect it from my laptop to where my Helix is located on the floor several feet away.  Pretty sure mine's 16 ft long.
