Volume pedal after amp - switching channels issue...

Hoping this is just a user setup issue...  I have a volume pedal after the amp in my signal chains for a master volume to the mixing board (keyboard player volume changes a lot and I need to be able to adjust...).  My controller is set up for presets on the bottom row and stomps on the top row.  When I switch channels the volume seems to go to the programmed level (? - or maybe last level before switching away from that channel)?  I seem to need to sweep the volume pedal top/bottom to get full functionality every time I switch channels?

I'd like to be able to switch preset channels and keep the volume (pedal %) wherever the volume pedal is currently sitting when I switch channels.  Coming from a Spider Valve, which works this way when you switch channels (miss/would love the AutoWah stomp from the Spider Valve...).  Suggestions?

Hi,

You need to adjust your Global settings to reflect the pedal position on all your presets.

From the manual:-

If you want a Volume Pedal or Wah to maintain its position when switching presets, set this to “Global.”

Hope this helps/makes sense.

EDIT: Never had a Spider, but it might nbe worth checking out the Legacy Effects section which has an Auto Wah from the older Line6 stuff.

Thank you for the tip on the global setting datacommando.  What effects category are you finding Auto Wah in?  I've tried Autofilter and Mutant Filter,  Autofilter comes close but not the same as Autowah.

Oops! My apologies, I seem to have misled you about a legacy Auto Wah. I was confusing that particular effect with one someone else recently asked about - the Auto Swell. Doh!

I found this old thread about auto wah from way back in 2016 - check it for any suggestions/clues which may help you.

After I checked the Legacy filters in Helix, I think you might also try playing around with the Tron Up, which Is inspired by the Mu-Tron® III envelope follower in the "Up" position. Part auto-wah, part triggered filter, it's all about wacky. Experiment with all this stuff - you can’t damage it.

Hope this helps/makes sense.
