Help: Stomp XL stereo out Left side WAY louder

Been a longtime LT user but new to the Stomp XL.

I recently built a fun new board using a Stomp XL as my amp and as a midi controller for DD500 and BigSky.

Here is the problem:

I’m going stereo out of the Stomp XL, but the Left signal is way louder than the Right side going out of the HX XL to my DD500. I’m using the jacks labeled Output L(mono) / R respectively.

What might I be doing wrong? Is there a setting I’m missing?

More details emerge…

I just played with a simple preset and everything works perfectly in stereo. Clearly I’m doing something wrong setting up a dual amp / dual IR preset. What might I be doing wrong?

Signal Path

AT+ -> Double Barrel -> Kilt —> Benson Preamp -> VP -> Stomp XL -> DD500 -> BigSky

DD500 / BogSky not the issue.

Hi,

Dual amp and dual IRs indicate that you have split your signal path into parallel processing, with an amp and cab IR in each path.

If that is the case you might find it helpful to read this post regarding split/merge paths. It save me from lots of typing.

Hope this helps/makes sense.

Hello!

It sounds like you're having a frustrating time with the stereo output balance on your Stomp XL. Here are a few things you might want to check: ensure that the output levels for both the left and right channels are set equally. Sometimes, slight differences in settings can cause one side to be louder than the other. Since you're using dual amps and dual IRs, it's possible that the signal splitting My ACI might be causing the imbalance. Check the routing settings to ensure that both paths are balanced. Verify that the cables you're using for the left and right outputs are of the same quality and type, as any difference in cable quality can affect the signal strength.
