Andre_67
Dear all, I've recently acquired a Line 6 Pod Go (standard one, not the wireless one). I'm perfectly happy with it, except that it makes a rather loud noise (like a "bang") when I'm switching it off. My question is: How do I correctly switch it off? I always turn it off by using the normal on/off-power-switch on the back-side, and I haven't found any other way to do it. So, I guess that has to be correct, but, as said before, that creates a loud bang, that makes me think I'm doing something wrong here... Any advice? Thanks a lot! silverhead
Turn your speakers off first. That’s standard practice with audio equipment. Work from the inside out (sound source to speakers) when turning things on and front outside in (the reverse) when powering things off. So, when powering on plug in your guitar first, then connect anything between your guitar and the POD, then the POD power switch, and finally your amp/PA/monitors. Reverse when powering off. Andre_67
Thank you very much for your reply!!! I forgot to add in my initial post, that the described noise-problem occurs, when I'm playing the Pod Go via Headphones. Still, thanks a lot for your comment
silverhead
With headphones, if you want to avoid the pop turn the volume down before powering off.
