Display snapshot name in stomp mode? LT

Is there a way to see the name of the snapshot in the display when in stomp mode? Currently it shows the preset and the snap number. If I scroll through the 8 snapshots with the bank buttons, just getting the number instead of the name is a bit tricky.

The snapshots are named when I go to Snap mode.

Hi,

Yup! - That’s the way it works - you can see the named Snapshots in Snapshot mode, and the Stomp names in Stomp mode.

Bit of a clue in the mode name.

You do have the option to have 4 Stomps displayed on the top row with 4 Snaps on the row below, or vice versa - 4 Snaps above 4 Stomps below.

See Helix LT 3.80 Owner’s Manual > Page 54 > Arranging Preset, Snapshot, and Stomp Switches.

Hope this helps/makes sense.

Yes, I know about the 4 snap/stomp combos. I'm doing a one man band looper thing, so I have more than 4 snapshots that I go to frequently. I suppose maybe someday I can "sacrifice" and work with less... But having a Helix is a "more is more" item!

I was just checking since there is all that empty space, maybe the snapshot name could fit in there. The preset name doesn't do me much good personally but I will survive. I can post that on ideascale I suppose. Does the Helix Floor handle this differently? I know it has the option for 10 stomps, LT has 8.

Hi,

I saw that you had posted on IdeaScale, but I seem to recall that someone else requested a similar thing way back. That never happened, so I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for this, especially as the Helix is rapidly approaching it’s tenth birthday.

Also - No, the Helix Floor doesn’t handle this differently, it doesn’t even have the Performance View like the LT, it uses Scribble Strips.

Anyhow, regarding the Snapshot situation, have you investigated using the Command Centre which can greatly expand your options for working. Not so much with any greater on screen info, but the ability to stack snapshots on one switch and/or essentially create presets within presets. You might be able to find another way to navigate through your one man band gigs.

Have a look at this video from Steve Sterlacci  - he has a few covering this subject.

Hope this helps/makes sense.

Currently, the Helix LT displays snapshot names only in Snapshot mode, not in Stomp mode. To view both, consider using the 4 Snapshots/4 Stomps mode. For more details, refer to page 54 of the Helix LT 3.80 Owner's Manual. I had a great experience with https://academized.com Academized. Their team is professional and dedicated to delivering quality work. I needed help with a lab report, and they handled it brilliantly, meeting all the requirements. The content was well-structured, properly formatted, and delivered before the deadline. Their affordability and customer-focused approach set them apart. For reliable academic assistance, Academized is my go-to choice. They never disappoint!

Thank you.
