Blip when switching channels on catalyst cx60

New user here to the catalyst CX 60. I really love the tones and the versatility of his amplifier. However, when I program two different channels and switch between them with the foot switch, there is a distinct pause or “blip“ between the channels. I would think that there should be a seamless transition between the two channels.  I contacted Support and they told me it was because I was trying to use two different amp models which to me sounds silly. Even with programming to the two different channels with the same amp model, there is still a pause when switching between the two channels. Anyone else have this problem? If so any way to rectify it? Perhaps maybe a MIDI controller instead of the foot switch?

You are not actually switching "channels" in the same way as with an analog amp.

Each of the 12 "channels" is actually a digital "preset". The "blip/pause" is due to the time it takes to unload the current preset and load a new one.

Same thing happens with a full-fat Helix unless you've enabled "Preset Spillover" which requires dedicating one of the two processors to load the second preset before unloading the first. There's only the one processor in the Catalyst, so that's not possible.

Thanks for the reply.  However it seems weird to offer the ability to switch between channels and not have it be seamless.  My Flextone III was seamless in every channel preset I made for it.  Maybe that was different/better technology?
