frstrat
Hey all, I'm hearing some kind of artifact in my EV Panama Red and Blue presets. It's like there is a clean signal drowning out the saturated tone of the model. I've looked thru the setting and can't find what I've done wrong. In full disclosure, today is the first day I've listened to the preset via headphones. I've been playing thru my Gemini FRFR cab. Any advice is appreciated. rd2rk
Helps to know which device you're using - Helix, HXS or? How are you wired? If you attach an example preset it helps with troubleshooting.
frstrat
Hi, sorry for the lack of detail. Hadn't needed to post in a while. I'm using Helix LT - guitar direct and using headphones out. I think I may have figured it out. I had the preset built with 4 snapshots and two amps (ev panama blue and a red) on a parallel path. Snaps 1 and 2 used the Blue while 3 and 4 used the Red. When I ditched either of the amp models the artifact (really a clean sound - just not sure what else to call it) resolved. Attached is the preset with both models. 5150 III .hlx
rd2rk
Your Snapshot was disabling the unwanted amp, but not the signal path it was on. Try the attached mod. By changing the split to A/B and assigning the A/B Split to Snapshots, it switches the signal path. Note that it's no longer required to disable the unwanted amp. This practice can sometimes prevent unwanted "pops" when switching snapshots. 5150 III MOD.hlx
