dandelor
Hey all Is it just me or does HX Edit make you feel like you've lost something in the User-Experience compared to the old Gearbox software? There's so much to love - the HX tones, the depth in editability and the superior patch edit, save functionality. But for me, the large graphic interface that reflected real-life hardware is a massive loss in day-to-day usage. I've had a play with Bias FX and the Amplitude stuff and tbh I've been very drawn to them because you can actually see the amps and pedals up close and it feels like you're still a guitarist. I actually prefer the Line 6 tones, but the images of the pedals and amps are so small it feels like you're really working with a bunch of sliders and after a while you lose interest in the controls and it's easy to get less enthused by and more lazy with the editing of tones. I would really love for there to be a more visual graphic mode where you see the hardware up close and can edit that way, with the current hyper-edit mode accessible behind this for extra tweaking if you want it. If after-all you are modelling real-life stuff, surely we need to be able to see something at least representing that kit up-close? Until that happens, I will forever be drawn to the Apps with a more inviting graphic user experience....
silverhead
Have you tried the Grid view of the models (see HX Edit manual pg 35 re: List/Grid view toggle). It’s a larger graphic view of the model; not an editing view. You still need to use the sliders.
