DT50 JTM45/Plexi/800 models lower gain than I suspect is even usual?

Greetings L6 forum,

I just bought a DT50 a 1-2 weeks ago and have been reallly enjoying the experience so far, but am grappling with a couple of things. When I loaded up the JTM45/Plexi/800, but more specifically the 45 and the Plexi, they seem to have barely any distortion/gain, even when compared to the Fender models, the Bassman, Deluxe reverb. So much so in fact, that the fender Twin/Deluxe reverb models seem to have more gain when compared to the, edge of breakup tones I was getting with the gain and vplume dimed on the Plexi and the JTM45 models. Is this normal?

Some stuff I've tried is:

-Moving the amp Model through Topologies 1-4

-Loaded in the amp model with the Topology its supposed to have via the cc command

-Diming the channel volume, and gain, with

-Flashed the firmware twice

This is also with the master pushed in, but so far no bueno, could it be the Tubes? Is there anything I missed trying?

Many Thanks in advance!

"... could it be the Tubes?", maybe. Depends on the age of the tubes and playing time of the previous owner.

Also depends on whether or not they are the specified tubes and bias. Review my posting on tubes in DT series amps.

I took a peak at the back of the amp through the grill around a day or two after getting it and, from what I could tell, it *is* the specified EL34EH, I'll double check again next time I'm in the rehearsal room. I also tried to find something that dates the amp, and on the bottom of the head it stated that it was from 2015(?), or at the very least, had been serviced around that time? so worse case scenario is that the Power Tubes are at the very least 10 years old, and or at an improper bias(?). Apart from the above mentioned, I haven't noticed anything strange tonally otherwise so far when I cranked it at practice, would you recommend I get it checked by a tech, I'm personally leaning on it needing a bias or a retube(?)

Thanks for the reply!
