Adam_Dreyer
I recently picked up a Friedman Pink Taco V2 combo and, separately, a Friedman IR-D preamp pedal. The Pink Taco is a one channel 20 watt valve amp with an FX loop. The IR-D is a preamp pedal which also includes an FX loop. I want to use the HX Effects to switch between the 'internal' preamp of the amplifier and the 'external' preamp pedal, to create 2 channels which I can toggle between. I'd also like the option to apply distortion/compression before the preamp and time-based effects after the preamp. I think I need some sort of variation on the 4 cable method, but I'm stumped! Does anyone have any experience with this or know how to do it? Many thanks, Adam
rd2rk
Using both FX Loops, put the IR-D in one and the Pink Taco in the other. Create an A/B Split with one FX Loop in each path. Assign a FS or Snapshot to control the Split. Your LEFT/MONO out goes to the PT's RETURN. You can set it up for either/or, AND/OR combine the two using the ROUT TO parameter (Knob 1) and use Snapshots to control the specifics. See page 38 of the manual.
