jwolske
I've got a Stomp that I intend to use as a backup and went to build some sounds on it this week and it had a rather pronounce low frequency hum. The hum seemed to pulse with the TAP TEMPO LED, which I thought was odd, and it got worse it I touched any of the metal connectors on the 1/4 or XLR cables I was using (was going through a direct box and I tried ground-lifting at the DI, didn't change anything). the cables are all fine, at last iteration of this same setup I had a TONEX One where the stomp goes and it was dead-quiet. I'll try a few more things (not sure what) when I get some time next week but it was all very strange.
rd2rk
Try taking the DI out of the signal chain. The Stomp's Outs are already BALANCED, so not necessary. If it works, and you NEED XLR, get a 1/4" balanced to XLR adapter. "at last iteration of this same setup I had a TONEX One where the stomp goes and it was dead-quiet. " The ToneX Out is INSTRUMENT level, so set the Stomp's outs to INSTRUMENT.
