PodGo roadmap feature request: Full midi controller functionality

I know that the PodGo has a limited midi functionality. It can't be used as a midi controller to control vst's like Helix Native on a pc. When I decide to invest in the Helix Native plugin, I have also to make an investment in a midi foot controller. I know many users would like this PodGo midi functionality, but unfortunately Line6 hasn’t implemented this functionality yet.

My question: Is it worth waiting that in a future update the full midi functionality will be implemented by line6?

It’s never worth waiting for an update to potentially provide a feature/function that you want/need. Your wish may never be fulfilled. That goes for buying new equipment too. Don’t buy something today that doesn’t do what you need based on the hope that it might be able to do it at some future date.

If you need full midi functionality now, go get a device that does it.

Thanks a lot for your quick response. I don't need the midi functionality right now. When Line6 decides that midi controlling with the PodGo will never be possible, then I have to decide to sell the unit so I can purchase a dedicated midi controller.

What do you think, will they ever implement this functionality?

What I, or anyone else, thinks is irrelevant. Line 6 will never announce that this is not going to be done. If it is going to be done they will announce it as part of the firmware release notes that includes it. When will that be, if ever? Mine, yours, or anyone else’s guess is pretty meaningless right now.
