Is there a way to play backing track through the POD X3 for practice?

Hello. I'm thinking of buying a POD X3 bean on ebay. I play guitar and bass, only at home, almost always with headphones.

I want to know whether it is possible to play a backing track through the POD X3 so that I can play along. Please would you tell me?

If it is possible, I assume I would have to use either the XLR input or the USB connection as an input, but I'm guessing that might be outside of their design parameters.

Try connecting your X3 to your computer via usb.The X# should become your computer's soundcard by default. That means audio from the computer will be heard through the X3 audio outputs, including headphones. If this is not automatic configure yopur computer to use the X3 as its audio input/output device.

You may need to install the POD X3 driver from the Downloads section at the top of this page.

Thank you! The manual mentioned 8 output channels via USB but didn't mention input channels. I am definitely going to try this. (I ordered the X3 today.)

Thanks again for for your advice. My X3 arrived and I have successfully played a backing track through it via USB and played along.
