Boss EV30 expression usable with stadium?

Can the Boss EV30 expression pedal be used with the stadium?  I was hoping with the stadium accepting TRS cables it would work but I can’t get it to range from 0 to 100%. I can get it to go from 0-80 or 90%, or from like 20% to 100%. But not 0-100.

I found this from an older thread;

 

Have you done this already?  I do not have a pedal to test.  However, phil_m is well known in these forums.  Also, some have gotten this to work using a TS cable instead of a TRS cable.

I have an EV30 working on my Stadium, and that is the way I did it. Of course, you will have the big dead zone at the heel end that all Boss expression pedals seem to have. My workaround for that is to fix a pad to the base under the heel end, so that it stops the pedal travel where the dead zone starts.
