dkeefer
The serial number was destroyed and I didn't get the box. I called Line6 to see if they could get the serial but since it was a newer version, I was told they all had a generic ESN now. I didn't think about asking for the discount while I was on the phone. The original owner says he never registered it and sent me a copy of the receipt. Thanks

Also, if they all have a generic ESN, how is it possible to differentiated one unit from another. Weird! IIRC - you should be able to display the serial number of your HX Stomp by switching off the power. Next, hold down the third encoder knob on the right, below the screen. While holding down the encoder, power up the Stomp and the screen should display the serial number of your unit. Make a note of the USN and pass it on to Line 6 support to verify. Hope this helps/makes sense.
