Help needed with importing/converting older HLX file

I have an older hlx file and no longer have the helix rack mount unit. I need help importing the hlx file into my new stadium XL. I am not sure what the revision of the firmware was when the hlx file was created. I know you cannot directly import the hlx file into the stadium, you have to extract the info out of it and copy over but I cannot figure out how to do that. Is there someone that can take this hlx file and do whatever is needed to allow it to be imported into the stadium? Any help is greatly appreciated.

That’s not generally true. All *.hlx files can be directly imported as long as they were exported using Helix firmware v3.50 or later. Older files may or may not be properly imported but if not I’m not aware of any extraction of info that can be done to make it transfer successfully.

Here’s a relevant snip from the Stadium manual about transferring Helix presets:

Your Helix/HX multieffect (or Helix Native plugin) must be updated to 3.50 or higher before exporting presets or setlists. There’s no guarantee that presets exported from earlier firmware will bring all the blocks forward. Note that some presets on CustomTone.com may have been exported from earlier firmware and may not appear as intended. But if you load them into Helix/HX (running 3.50 or newer firmware) and then export, they should work fine.

As stated above your hlx file needs to be imported into a Helix device running v3.5 or later, and then exported. No info extraction is involved. You may find someone willing to do that and then attach the new hlx file here.

Also note that the Helix v3.50+ Legacy Cabinet Models will be automagically converted when the .hlx file is imported into the Helix Stadium.

Also note that Impulse Response files (if you are using them in the imported preset) are not imported and must be manually mapped to the file on your computer once the Helix file is imported into Helix Stadium.
