erodrigues
It appears that all presets in Helix default to output to Multi which includes supporting Powercab and DT25/50, the issue i found is that when i set to XLR or 1/4" only, the sounds changes dramatically. If I am not using a Powercab and DT25/50, why would this happen? What is the best practice to use if the Helix is to be connected either to a mix console and/or a external amp? Sorry if this is a dumb question :( I am honestly puzzled. Hope someone can help
rd2rk
I've had mine for 10 yrs and never noticed that, so I just tested it. I don't hear it. Nor was there a difference when I had a Powercab switching from Multi to Digital. Not that it should matter, but what is the specific signal chain - post Helix devices - that you are using? My XLRs go to a Scarlett interface and studio monitors, my 1/4" to the Power Amp In of my Catalyst.

They're independent outputs and the changes to DT or Powercab settings have no relevance to the XLR or 1/4 inch outs.
rd2rk
Do you perchance have the XLR and 1/4" outs set differently in GLOBAL SETTINGS>INS/OUTS?
