Bluejay99
Hello, Using a PBC6x i'm trying to use the default factory presets that exist for each delay/reverb mode For example, which PC should i send out to select preset B of the "VINTAGE DIGITAL" setting? How do i find the other PCs of the other dial entries? (such as DUAL DELAY etc etc) thanks! I'm not trying to save nothing mine, just recalling what's already there
silverhead
Here’s a clip from the manual: Loading Presets 1 - 128 via MIDI As covered in the preceding sections, the first six presets are arranged in banks of three (A,B,C and D, E, F), and can be accessed via DL4 MkII’s footswitches. Alternatively, these first six presets can also be accessed individually by sending MIDI Program Change messages 000 through 005, respectively, to DL4 MkII. The additional presets, 7 through 128, are not accessible from the DL4 MkII footswitches, but are accessed individually, strictly via MIDI Program Change messages 006 through 127. Please also see "Accessing all 128 Presets" on page 50. (underlining is mine) You will need to have/make a list of the factory presets to map them to the midi PC number. Bluejay99
Do we know the starting point? For example: Tube Echo preset A PC1 Tube Echo preset B PC2 Tube Echo preset C PC3 At this point what would be PC4? Will it be Tube Echo preset D or will it be Tape Echo Preset A? Also this does not take in account vintage/modern mode,
Bluejay99
Also, regarding PCs 000 through 005 I suppose they switch bank based on the selected mode in the dial, but how do i recall the speficic mode
silverhead
I don’t own one so personally I don’t know. Any relevant info is in the manual, but I don’t know if your specific question is covered. To get the manual click on the Support tab at the top of this page, then select the Manuals subsection. Bluejay99
I went through the manual, but there is no explaination, i find it kind of useless in my use case, it doesn't seem that there is a way to access the presets using PCs alone... In theory it's there but in practice i don't think so. For example it says that 000 to 005 are A to F... So what's 006? is it Preset A of the next delay mode? and is the delay mode the next one in the same style or is it the legacy one/vice versa, without knowing how they are organized i would have to test it manually, it seems crazy
silverhead
Good questions, and it looks like you’re right about needing to test it manually. Seems nobody before you has bothered to do so, which is why the info is lacking. Perhaps you’d like to be the trailblazer and post your results here for the benefit of a future you?
