ethanflaherty
Hi, I have been trying to import a Helix Floor .hlx preset file into HX editor for my HX stomp with some difficulty. While I can adjust the code to remove the need for two DSP processors and 16 blocks, I continue to get error -8309 "Incompatible target device type", which suggests HX Edit is being strict about device compatibility. I don't have a Helix floor, which is the only way I can think of to re-save the file for HX stomp. Does anyone have any suggestions? I will attach the original file, and a file that was stripped of the parameters that are incompatible with Stomp (e.g. blocks, processor). Thank you Packy Lundholm's Jerry Garcia Line 6 Helix Patch.hlx Packy Lundholm JerryGarcia_Lite edit.hlx
silverhead
You can download and install the Helix Native plug-in software on a trial basis. It has a Hardware Compatibility mode which allows you to edit and save presets in a format compatible with the specific constraints of each Helix hardware device. So you should be able to, for instance, load a Helix Floor preset into Helix Native while in the Floor compatibility mode. Then you can edit the preset within Helix Native, removing blocks until you can successfully change the Hardware Mode to HX Stomp with the preset loaded. After Saving it as an HX Stomp preset you should be able to load it successfully into HX Edit for transfer to your Stomp device. For details, consult the Helix Native manual.
