HX STOMP XL can connect Android Phone with USB cable?

Hi, I’m considering buying the HX STOMP XL, but since it doesn’t seem to have Bluetooth, I have a question about connectivity.

Is it possible to connect it to an Android phone using a USB-B to USB-C cable? From what I’ve found, it seems to work with a PC via USB.

What I’d like to do is connect it to my phone to play backing tracks or songs for practice, and possibly record my guitar playing.

Is this setup possible without Bluetooth?

Thanks in advance!

USB works with a Mac/PC but I don’t think it works with an Android phone. You can use the Stomp’s Aux inputs with an adapter to carry your Android analog audio output to the Stomp’s 1/4” stereo inputs.

You can record directly to a Mac or PC using the Stomp’s USB but I don’t think you can record directly to the Android.

It's quite weird. I never got it to work until I did a single quick voice memo recording with the Stomp connected. All of a sudden, playback from Android to the Stomp would work as well. Doublechecked on two devices (Samsung A55 and Tab A9), so you might want to give that a try.

Edit: Just tried again, worked one time, then, after a dis/re-connect, it wouldn't work anymore.

Pretty bad.
