Ongoing Showcase bug?

I just updated to 1.3.1 and the tracks in Showcase keep losing output after reboot. After update, I deleted the old tracks, then reimported one and it worked fine until the next reboot.

Anybody got any workarounds?

NU9Band,

Have you read the following post on this issue?

And as a follow up to this same post, I have been performing a complete backup prior to updating firmware; both going to v1.3 & v1.3.1.  I then reset to default after the update and restore from the most recent backup.  My songs have come back and work as expected.  I hope I just didn't jinx myself.

I was trying to avoid a factory reset :)

The factory reset is an addendum.  When you read the thread I linked it shows how I have been able to not have the lost sound issue.

The ability to restore from backup is huge for me not having to recreate the songs each time I reset to default and then restore. :-)

ISSUE SOLVed!

I ended up opening a ticket for this issue.

The workaround I was given was this:

Thanks for reaching out.

Please create a backup (if necessary):
Switch off the unit and hold down the HOME and SONG VIEW buttons while powering on again.
In the maintenance window, click on "Create Backup".

In the maintenance menu, now perform an entire factory reset on the Stadium
(deletes all user-created data and resetting all settings to their factory defaults):

Click on "Restore Factory Defaults" then press OK to confirm.
Restart the Helix Stadium hardware and re-establish WiFi connection.

Now test it again.

If still not working, put the microSD card into your computer and save the folders (if necessary).
Then put the microSD card back into Stadium and reformat the card via the maintenance menu.

Then reload the audio files from your computer again. Does it work now?

Best regards,
Line 6 Customer Support Team

I did the factory reset, then re-uploaded a track (without reinstalling the backup). The audio from the track survived the on/off cycle. But, after reinstalling the backup, the track audio died after the first on/off cycle.

I went with the second option they suggested - unmount the SD card (back it up on a computer if necessary), then reinstall it in the Stadium and do an SD format, then try again. I did that and this time it works - the audio keeps running after the on/off cycle (I did not put back the folders saved from the card, I just left it freshly formated by the unit). So far, so good!
