naym713
Hello, Hope everyone is doing well. I have created an app called Pathogo for Helix preset maker for iPhone. If you would like to participate in the beta testing, you can install the Pathogo beta app for testing. A preset can be made with the app and export the preset to import to HXEDIT. This app is not on AppStore yet since we are beta testing. Thank you so much, Nay Link for the app: https://testflight.apple.com/join/cutCY6sK

Hi, I saw your previous post from earlier this year- Much as I can admire your dedication to creating an app, specifically for creating Helix presets, I have to ask - why? The reason HX Edit was never modified to run on mobile devices, was simply because the hardware needs to be physically connected over USB to audition the tones being created. If you can’t hear it, what’s the point? If this is aimed at people on the move, then they could simply note down possible preset ideas in any text app, or even use a pencil and paper. It seems like a lot of work for something that essentially appears unnecessary, as it still requires the use of HX Edit. Good luck. Hope this helps/makes sense.
naym713
I’m working on this app because if line 6 updates their firmware, we can use Bluetooth adapter to connect directly to Helix. Thank you for your input.

Thank you for your input. As I stated previously - good luck with that, BUT seriously, do you expect any major reworking of the Helix firmware this far down the road (10 years in)? It seems they are rather busy with development of the new Stadium boxes. It should be noted that the hardware needs to be tethered via USB, and doesn’t have built in wireless, or BlueTooth capabilities. And, yes, I am aware that there are WIDI (wireless Bluetooth adapters), which are being used by many contributors to this forum, but once again, AFAIK, this only talks MIDI, and MIDI implementation on HX devices is fairly basic. Have fun. Hope this helps/makes sense.
