Blackwyche
Hi all, I buyed an CX60 some months ago. I'm partially happy with it. Since first time I used, one annoying thing is the short sustain it have in overdrived amps. Is nonsense overdriven amps like 2204MOD have same sustain than clean amps. I tried setting off noise gate but not helps too much. Then I tried some overdrive and distortion pedals (I have near a dozen) and then appears a strange intermodulation sounding like ik was a light phaser engaged. I tried all, reset factory, re-installing latest firmware, but nothing. I don't understand for what reason is called a "pedal platform". The only thing save this amp is the price. I think modeled amps must be reconfigured by Line 6 to avoid these fails.
rd2rk
The problem you've described is not a real thing - I've had my Catalyst since first release. No problem with sustain at all. It's true that analog gain pedals sometimes don't play well with solid state amps, but I highly doubt that this is the problem. Contact support, maybe it's defective. somebodyelse
My gut feeling is lower the pickups. The description sounds like 'Stratitus'. Get the guitar set up properly.
