Delay trails not working

I'm not hearing this. Delays between Snapshots are working as expected on my Stadium Floor, also running the latest firmware.

Try this: Using only the device (shut down the app), select Factory preset 1B Double Double. Activate Snapshot 4 (Lead) which has a very noticeable delay. Strike a note, then activate Snapshot 3. The delay carries over as expected on my device.

Perhaps you're hearing something more specific rather than general behaviour. Can you attach a preset where this is happening?

Did you do the test I suggested with Factory preset 1B? This will help determine whether your firmware is corrupt resulting in all presets being affected, or whether it is a more specific problem. If 1B works fine attach the preset you used in the video for further diagnosis. If 1B fails I will make a different recommendation.

Delay works in 1b

 this is what I did

 new preset, add delay

 snapshot 2 turn delay off

 snapshot 1 & 3 delay is on

switching from snapshot 3 to 1 turns the delay off audibly, but shows on in snapshot

here's another same issue.

If you click on Verse then click on a different Verse, it turns off delay.

Switch to chorus, and the delay will persist until i click another chorus and it seems to turn off.

Seems to only affect delays

I think your firmware may be corrupted. Corrupt firmware can be fixed. Refer back to my first post in this thread. If the delay doesn’t behave properly when switching Snapshots as described then I can describe how to fix it.

Until and unless you perform that test and post the result I can’t help you and there’s no point in proceeding.

i replied above that the delay is working correctly on 1B and posted presets as suggested, so i don't understand your response

So interesting enough - on 1B double double, if i to to snapshot 4 delay comes on. If i click snapshot #4 again, it turns the delay audibly off. Similar to how it's acting on my other presets.

Yes, you did. I somehow missed that. My bad. Apologies.

On my device I don't get this behaviour. When I go to SS4 the delay comes on as you describe. However, when I immediately press SS4 again the delay remains audibly on. While the bahaviour is different your behaviour is normal if your Global Settings -> Snapshot Reselect parameter is set to Toggle Prev. Mine is set to Reload. This parameter affects the behaviour when you press a Snapshot button for the Snapshot that is already loaded. In my case SS4 is reloaded. In the case where the parameter is set to Toggle Prev the previous Snapshot will be loaded. Check you setting for this parameter and see if it affects things.

Regarding your preset True.hsp....  On my system it loads with SS5 (Verse) active. The Cosmos Delay block is On. The Adriatic Delay block is Off. When I select SS3 (the other Verse) there is no change to the state of either Delay block. Cosmos remains On, Adriatic remains Off. The delay remains audible, it does not turn off as you describe. So things are behaving differently on my device than on yours. And this has nothing to do with the Snapshot Reselect parameter setting.

I switch to SS2 (Chorus) and the active delay blocks toggle; Cosmos is Off, Adriatic is On. I select SS4 (the other Chorus) and the blocks remain the same; Cosmos Off, Adriatic On. Again the delay remains audible; the behaviour is different on our devices.

There is another Snapshot parameter that might come into play if you make changes to any Snapshot before you activate a different Snapshot. That is the Discard Edits parameter that appears in the Snapshot Panel (and at the bottom of the Snapshot list when you right-click on the Snapshot name in the Stadium app). This setting affects whether those change will be discarded or retained when you next select the changed Snapshot. In my testing of the True preset above this is irrelevant because I did not change any Snapshot settings.

My conclusion: Since my system is working as expected and yours is behaving differently using the same preset, your firmware is corrupt. I would open a support ticket and get an official diagnosis from Line 6 Tech Support. Include a link to this thread for their reference.

If you want to fix a possible corruption before getting an official diagnosis you can do the following. There's no harm in doing it; at worst you will be back where you are now.

To reinstall the firmware, consult the Helix Stadium Maintenance section in the  manual and do the following:

1) Start up in System Maintenance mode.

2) Create Backup. This is critical. The next steps will erase all user data on your machine and you will want the data saved.

3) Use Line 6 Central to (re)install the latest firmware. Select Flash Memory 1.3.2. Also reinstall the latest version of the Stadium app.

4) Start up in System Maintenance mode. Restore Factory Defaults.

5) Restore Backup

6) Shutdown

Restart and test your symptoms. Hopefully things will start behaving as expected. If not it's time for a support ticket.

Hope this works for you.

Hey thanks for the detailed response. I have opened a ticket and waiting to hear back.

i checked the other settings, like previous/ engage snapshot, as well as discard charges to snapshots and seem to be in alignment with yours.

i can test tonight if reinstalling firmware helps.

i appreciate your help and clarity!
