DBCrocky
My Helix Rack started having issues with the front panel, a couple of knobs were not working/putting out weird jumping values, then the screen started fading until it was no longer working at all. So I backed it up and bought one off of Reverb. The new one seems to be working great, except whenever I tried to restore the backup HX Edit crashes, leaving a "Transferring Data Please Wait" on the Hardware Screen. I tried extracting files from the backup and restoring files individually, but they also crashed HX Edit in the exact same way. What gives? How can I get my backups? DBCrocky
Posted too soon, I figured it out. I had the Helix Rack connected via a USB that has a ground lift. This is because without that it (and other powered USB devices I own) will put noise onto the USB that my audio interfaces put into my speakers. When I tried using a non-ground-lifted USB, it works. I put up with the noise during the restore. Hope this helps others, if you get my symptoms, it's likely the USB connection.
