Controlling output volume.

Hi All,

I've only had my StadiumXL for 2 days and been trying to learn everything I can by reading the on-line manual as well as watching lots of YouTube sessions. All the information gained is great but everyone seems to not mention one of the most important settings and that is the output volume levels of the various outputs.

I'm using the XLR outputs from the Helix to two FRFR powered speakers and my first attempt to play the first preset resulted in me almost blowing my speakers. Luckily I was quick enough to slam the volume pedal down.

Now I was using all default settings and I made a wrong assumption that the unit would be basically be set to play.

The manual stated that the XLR outputs should be set to Line if connecting to FRFR boxes but I read somewhere else that XLR outputs should be set to Mic, Setting the XLR outputs to Mic resulted in correct volume range. So not sure which is the correct setting for these but at least I can play without going deaf.

Now the other issue with excessively loud volume is when a Clip is played. Again the volume of Clips seem to be extremely loud and I cannot find a way to adjust the volume of Clips independantly so that all the other volumes are not affected.

Can any tell me if this is possible?

I know it's early days and I have lots to learn but I'm finding some of these "simple" things are taking a lot of time to resolve and no one seems to cover this topic as if it's oh so obvious that it isn't worth covering.

Any advice on the topic of controlling volumes would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and best regards.
