boynigel
Using snapshots, this worked perfectly with my LT. To engage my amp's clean channel, via Command Center, i'd "Select: None", for the crunch channel, i'd "Select: 1 (Tip)", and for the lead channel, "Select: 1 and 2" in Command Center. Wayyy more complicated w/the Stadium XL. through much trial and error, given that i'm hooked up to the Suhr via the Control C/D jack, i found that when I: Select: C (Tip), State: Closed gives me my clean channel Select: C (Tip), State: Open gives me my crunch channel great, but now to get it to switch to the lead channel of the Suhr... which is where it gets weird. i discovered that if i set it as: "Select: C and D, State: Open" it'll give me my lead channel. great, but now when i switch back to the snapshots that should be giving me my crunch channel, they're both stuck on the lead channel...even though their correct settings listed above haven't changed, yet somehow the clean channel assignment remains intact. weirder still, when i leave the preset and come back in hopes of returning to my unsaved state, the issue of being stuck on the lead channel held on somehow. make it make sense before hulk smash Stadium! here's a youtube link that shows exactly what's happening: Edited September 26 by boynigel added video for more detail
boynigel
update. i've gotten closer, but still not there. these settings have helped: Here are my new settings in Command Center: Suhr channel 1 (clean) = C+D Close Suhr channel 2 (crunch) = C (Tip) Open Suhr channel 3 (lead) = C+D Open This works fine, until i try switching from channel 3 (lead) to 2 (crunch). Now when i try going from channel 3 lead, to channel 2 crunch, it stays on channel 3 even though i'm on a snapshot that's set up to give me channel 2. but...if i go from channel 3 (lead) to channel one (clean) first, then i can get to channel 2 on the amp. So in short, if i'm on channel 3 and want to get back to 2, the only way is to go to 1 first, otherwise it gets stuck on channel 3. What makes even LESS sense, is that if i go to another preset and assign everything the same via command center as outlined above, i can't get channel 2 on my amp to actuate, period. Ugh. XONE
Try this: CH2 (C (Tip) - Open / D (Ring) - Closed) You'll have to set up both as single commands. Hope this helps

XONE
You have to set up separate Tip and Ring Commands in Command Center on the same preset/snapshot. Go into Command Center. On two separate Lightning Bolts choose Ext Amp Set up one as: Tip - Open. Set up the other as: Ring - Closed Hit Save. See if that's the combination for CH2 using the footswitches
boynigel
okay i'll give that a try. in the meantime i added a video to my original post that may better explain/show exactly what's happening

XONE
Glad that worked. I don't use snapshots, so I don't know why that's not changing for you. I only have my Presets programmed to change my amp channels
boynigel
probably a global setting somewhere. i'll figure it out, thanks again.
XONE
I figured it out. In the EXT Amp Command Box, "right-click" on the word "Select" on the top left of the Box. A toggle for Snapshot Control comes up. Switch that "ON", and you should able to set up the commands per snapshot.

Switch that "ON", and you should able to set up the commands per snapshot. i already had snapshot set to On for each one. in addition i also set State and Wait Time to Snapshot On. it's buggy. for example if i switch from a preset that's working fine, to one preset in particular, when it loads the preset, it changes my amp to a channel that isn't even assigned on any of my snapshots w/in that preset! Then i'll go to another preset and the original problem prevails, ie- when the preset loads, the amp will be on the wrong channel but as soon as i hit the snapshot foot switch, it goes to the intended/assigned channel. and yet i can switch between other presets with zero issues. i'm wondering if this a "bug" that i should report to Line 6? unless i SHOULDN'T have set State and Wait Time to Snapshot On...except there are presets that work just fine this way. XONE
I am sorry that you can't get it to work seamlessly. It's weird that it doesn't return you to the first amp channel (Snapshot 1) when the Preset loads Maybe reach out to Line 6. I'm sure it's something simple that we just missed. It always is. Let me know if you get it solved. I'd love to switch to Snapshots

I'd love to switch to Snapshots it took me nearly 10 years to adopt snapshots, mainly out of laziness/stuck in my ways, but when i finally did there was no going back. makes life SO much easier!
XONE
Hey, I just did the 1.4 Update and it swapped the Ext Amp Commands, and I had to re-do them. Here's from their 1.4 Update Notes: EXT Amp command states were inadvertently swapped (open was closed and closed was open). As such, post-1.4 EXT Amp commands will appear to operate correctly, but inverted from how they may have been programmed in pre-1.4 builds
boynigel
yep, me too. now NONE of them work as i had them LOL thanks for letting me know it wasn't unique to me.
XONE
Also check your Global Midi Settings, there are 3 new midi commands sent out. I had to go in my Global Midi Settings and turned OFF Matrix 1/4" Midi, Matrix XLR Midi, and Matrix Phones Midi, then everything worked again with a restart. Then I had to basically set my EXT Amp Settings to the opposite of what I had them to get the EXT Amp switching to work again. Now it's all working again. Hope this helps.

I pretty much use my Stadium stand-alone, so i'll be addressing this later rather than sooner. will definitely reference back to this when i get the itch to use it w/my amp. thanks
XONE
My pleasure. I didn't want you to get stuck with the issue, especially since we had just solved it.
