Can I get a steer from someone at Line6 

I've created a new android app for those of us with non-archaic phones who want to still use the amplifier (I'm using a 150 here)

Any issues from a legal standpoint with publishing it ? 

(all done using google ai studio/Claude code)

My non-legal and non-Line 6 opinion is that it’s OK as long as it does not contain proprietary information. If you did not rely on any information you obtained from Line 6 during its development I think you’re OK on that front. Even if Claude scrapes proprietary information during its operations you would personally be safe. Join the rest of the world and blame Claude for illegally using proprietary info!

 

Also, others have historically done something similar and have made their work publicly available. I don’t think any of them are in jail (at least not yet ;-) ). The only concern might be if you want to promote it to users on this forum (as I am sure you do) and remain compliant with the Terms of Use of this forum. If you plan to offer it for free you can announce its availability in the AMPLIFi subforum where you have posted this thread. If you plan to charge for it you should announce it in the Promote Your Patches subforum.

 

And if you want to announce it before the oceans boil ask for forgiveness not permission.

Still working on getting the editor working properly - but it should already allow selection of tones from the 100 stored on the amp, and the tuner probably works too
