Intonation Fix JTV 89/59 Hidden Bridge Screws

Recommended Posts

Hey

Hidden screws to push the bridge and saddles further back!

What??

If you tried to intonate your D4, A5, or E6 strings and find that the individual piezo saddles cannot be screwed any further back towards the bridge wall.

There is a hidden solution.

Look at back of saddle, where string ara attached.

On far right and left side of the bridge, there are two small holes.

Inside there is adjustment screws.

You can adjust the position of the entire rear bridge/saddle assembly block.

Back and forward...

You need a very small hex wrench 1.5 mm

Mine came with the guitar.

Be careful when stick it the hole, little tricky.

Maybe some dirt inside screw.

Turn counter clockwise you move screw back and then you have to push bridge backwards.

You can now move your piezo saddles the extra clearance they need to achieve for better/perfect intonation.

This made clean chords kling cleaner and distortion much better. But you need to fine tune each stings with tune knobs to get distortion really tight. Due to imperfection in every guitar. To get it perfect is almost impossible.

This can be done on all similar bridge/saddle.

Enjoy your ”new” born guitar
