yaronnir
Hi All, I have 2 questions: 1. How do i combine 2 effects in 1. for example I have "metalica sound" and now i want to operate it together with wah wah effect? 2. when i switch between effects it is not smooth. i takes half a second till i hear the new effect...is this by design? Thank for responding Yaron
cclement
Not clear on what you are asking... you want to add the wha wha to an already existing sound? Just place it in the FX chain where it sounds best to you, and assign it to the EXP TOE SWITCH to turn it on and off. If you are turning on/off FX on with the Editor, there can be a delay - since commands are being sent via USB. But on the actual unit, it's pretty much instant. pfsmith0
You can control several effects with one foot switch by assigning the FXs to the same controller. You are noticing the delay because the unit is connected to the computer. Disconnect it and the delay will be gone.
yaronnir
thank you both for your reply. as for my first question, i got a clear and proper answer. as for the second question. maybe i can elaborate more, i have pedals besides my HD500X pod. if i connect only the pedals (chorus, distortion and wah wah) and switch on/off between them, it is instant! on the HD500X is different (even without connected to the computer), there is a 100-300 milisecond delay until the actual sound is heard. it is annoying because i would like my effect switching to be fluent.... i hope my question is more clearer now thank you for your responses Yaron

This might be a silly redundant question, but are you hooking up those other pedals via the fx loop in the pod itself, or are you placing them pre or post pod. In other words if you aren't running them through the pod as an fx loop you are probably going to get some delay between switching. I have a Strymon BigSky studio reverb i use, and i have it hooked up like this: fx send >BigSky Left input >BigSky Left output >L/Mono FX Return. Then in the signal chain i place an FX Loop icon and assign it to a pedal.
pfsmith0
Also, it is normal to hear a delay when you change patches, but it's NOT normal to hear a delay when you turn an FX block on/off with a foot switch.
