Pod Farm and Pod HD500X, Do they work together?

Hello Everyone, please forgive if this is common knowledge already but I have looked all over and can not find the answer anywhere.

I have for years used Pod Farm and my L6 Pod X3 together as my main guitar recording rig. I love the way it works, because I don't have to commit to a tone, and can change things up on the fly as I progress with recording a song.

I recently purchased a POD HD500X which gets delivered tomorrow, and I am wondering if I will be able to utilize it with POD Farm the same way I currently do?

If not is there any new software that will enable me to record in the same fashion I currently do?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

it won't work in the same fashion because the usb feed from the 500x is a little different.

it's the hardware that is limiting you not the software...

you'd need a separate recording interface with a SPDIF in to make the workflow more closely match what you are used to.

there are ways to still do what you want, by creating tone paths that would send dry left wet right for instance...

Well I have Spdif connectivity on my Protools interface, but the question is really if I record the dry signal can I reroute it digitally in real time to actually reamp the clean signal and be able to play with it directly? Why would thy not come up with a version of PODfarm for the HD unit. I mean my Mac has more than enough power to recreate the DSP power of an HD unit.

I guess the better question to ask is, is there anywhere with a tutorial, and or instructions on how to set this up to work in this fashion, rather than me having to experiment for hours on end to try and get it to work in this fashion?
