dual amps

I have been trying to get dual amps to work for a week now with no luck, I'm trying to get the ideal sound with 2 amps so i disengage one of the amps so i can hear by itself and all of a sudden I hear what doesnt sound like the amp at all, what I hear is a clean channel, I have the treadplate in there and the fireball and neither is a clean channel amp....why ami i getting this? how do i fix it? and im also using the edit software

Amps have two volume controls, the second of which is the bypass volume - or the level of signal when the amp is switched off, and this defaults to 100%, so you are hearing the clean guitar signal via the disabled amp path.

 

Select the disabled amp and turn the Amp Volume down to zero.

The SRV preset video is a good one for showing how to set up a good Dual Amp tone preset.  You can then assign specific parameters to various foot switches.

 

Tip:  This is so much easier when using the editor, saves so much time over doing it on the floor unit.

... it also extends the life of the control switches/butns/knobs of the floor unit...

Are you using a DT25/50 with the HD or just the HD?
