Connection issue on some new Relay G50/90 units, with resolution

It has come to our attention that a small number of Relay G50/G90 systems may have been shipped starting in the wrong RF mode. This is very easy to resolve. If your new Relay G50/G90 wireless system’s TBP12 transmitter will not connect to its receiver, switch the RF mode by following the procedures below:

1. Turn body pack power on.

2. Press and hold the "Select" button until the channel number flashes.

3. Press and release the "Value" button while continuing to hold the "Select" button.

4. Release both buttons when the display shows "RF1".

5. Verify by powering off the unit then turning power back on and watching for RF1 to be displayed during the turn on sequence. Your transmitter will now connect to your receiver.

Relay G-30 Dropout Experience

I have had a G-30 for several years and experience off and on dropouts. When this happens the LED's blink temporarily, so it is a drop out.

My bandmate has a G-50 and never has had one. My G-30 rarely gets thru a show without them and sometimes they are numerous.

We do use Wi-Fi on stage with a Mackie system for controlling our IEM's with individually with iPad's, however the dropouts started long before we introduced that technology.

My receiver is mounted to a Pedaltrain Jr and supplied with the factory powersuppy into a power strip. It resides by a Ernie Ball Wah and a Rocktron Banshee Talk Box - both of which are also plugged into the power strip mounted to the surface of the Pedaltrain.

I change batteries before everyshow - keeping the transmitter in a nanotech pouch on my guitar strap. I upgraded the cable to a Mogami Gold cable with right angle ends.

I have several guitars I gig with (all Ernie Ball Music Man) and the drop outs do not seem to be guitar-specific.

Finally - I rarely venture more than 10-15 feet from the receiver and most often are within 5 feet of it.

Is there anything as I describe that could be causing interference? We do have several wireless IEM's and mic's etc - but these dropouts were experienced before we got all the wireless. Would an upgrade to the G-50 be beneficial?

Thank you

Mike Keller

G55 Relay. How do you rack mount!!

Line 6 even shows a product number for the kit on the web site. Now that I've received the G55 unit it is very apparent there is NO way to rack mount the unit and it appears the "optional rack mount kit" does NOT exist. This is very discouraging and upsetting to me. I am a working musician and needed a rack mounted version, and now see this is not what the product is advertised to be. Now I'm being told to return the unit, I will have to pay 30$ in shipping, and refund the merchant for their shipping costs plus possibly pay a restocking fee since the unit has been opened. Has anyone here found a way to rack mount this? I just read somewhere where someone said to velcro it to a rack shelf. In my case this won't work due to travel/road wear. I really need a way to rack mount this the way it was advertised to me. Any help would be appreciated.
