Seems to be a real waste of very good content to just shut it down. From a customer service point of view it would have made more sense to just leave it up and provide continued access to those of us who have been paying to use it all this time. It requires very little resources to just keep the site up even if you never add more content, what you had was very good.

This makes me rethink my recent purchase of a Line 6 Mobile In.....

Hey...

Well I got the EBTECH HUM-X from amazon and it worked, I have to say I had to try it in a couple of places as plugging my Mac into it did not fix the problem. Next I tried the POD X3 Live and that did not do it either, finally I plugged my Line 6 Spider 120 into it and poof the Hum disappeared.

So I while it seems where you put the HUM-X may vary, it works like a champ. Thanks for the tip also thanks to the Line 6 support guy who also mentioned the HUM-X as a solution.

If it worked for you I have to try it, won't hurt anything but my wallet. It is already numb from christmas shopping.....;-)

Not on a Laptop

Hey...

I'm on a new iMac i7 so no battery.....

In my case I can just touch the USB plug to the USB port (shield to plug) on the X3 Live and the AMP picks up the all the noise (with the X3 turned ON or OFF!!!....same noise)

I had the same problem with my laptop prior to this and figured it would go away when I got the new Mac...was not happy to still have it there. I expected a little better from a piece of equipment at this price point, especially one made for the music industry. You can almost excuse a computer for being noisy....almost....

I'm just getting started with this hobby and am new to much of this, to go as far as to say I'm still trying to figure out which end of the guitar to blow into ;-)

I was thinking about Line 6's whole new set with the HD's and the Head and Amp.....I like the idea of it all working together (by design)......but I may wait a bit....too many toys to little time....

I have the exact same problem. Noise is present when USB is connected to to POD X3 Live, tried common plugs on back of filtered power from UPS....No help, with the computer on I can hear my self type over the amp with the POD turned OFF (but still connected to the amp.)

Anyone ever get this solved??????

Line 6 any comments, can't be this guys home power since he does not live with me and I have the same problem ;-)

Any Help would be great....
