Okay the method in the link that I referenced worked. I had to manually go through each of the presets that I wanted for the HD 500 and change them to Preset instead of Global, and select Guitar + Variax and Same for the input methods. I ran both HD Pro Edit and HD 500 Edit in offline mode for this process.

First off sorry I am too lazy to do a search. How can I convert my HD Pro patches to HD 500? I have several patches on the Pro that I would like to move to the 500. I know there are different output options but seriously Line6 a way to make this happen should be a no brainer. At least for the HD Pro/500/Desktop world.

I looked into that custom tool that some user made, but it does not convert Pro to 500, just up the chain.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you can on the HD500 and HDPro (not sure about the 300/400 I don't have those). If you use the variax cable with the battery in I have noticed a delay when switching patches using my HD500. When I take the battery out, there is no delay.

SOLUTION:

Hi,

Try a hard reset on the JTV:

To reset Guitar Model Selector

Set the Pickup Selector Switch to it’s middle position, then press and

hold the Guitar Model Selector Knob while you plug in a 1/4” cable to

power up the guitar. Your Guitar Model Selector LED and Alternate

Tuning LED will both flash red. Next, press and hold the Guitar Model

Selector knob again. Guitar Model Selector LED will flash red, rapidly 3

times, indicating all 50 guitar models in the Model Selector knob memory

locations are now restored to factory settings. Guitar will now return to

normal operation.

This worked for me. I suspect that when trying to do the tuning on the fly option, it may of thrown it out. But I need to test that theory.

I to have this issue but mine includes the G string too. This is not a problem of hearing my guitar over the speakers. This is a true issue. I remember somewhere back when the JTV came out that Reken has stated he had to some tweaking in Workbench to fine tune the pitches of the string calibration. I may of been misunderstanding. I just haven't got around to trying this out yet. I don't use the alternate tunings yet, but I would like to.

Its not a dual sound coming from the guitar. I have tried this both with my HD500 and then plugged straight into my Audio Interface with a standard cable. What I can determine is that since the tuning issue is more drastic the lower the tunings go, then it should be an intonation issue. Going through the mags or just playing in standard tuning the intonation does not sound that far off, but I have not checked the intonation on my guitar since I got it.

Let me check the intonation and I will get back to you on it.

JTV 59 Tuning Question

I just got my new JTV59, and love it! But I have noticed playing with the tunings, that the more drastic the +/- tuning I go, the more I am hearing harmonies out of just the G and B strings. Is there some adjustments that I can make with Workbench or is there something else. I have checked the tuning of the strings themselves and everything is great. I have not intonated the guitar since receiving it, but wouldn't think this much of an issue with single notes. Also going to Eb I can't hear the issues, its only on the odd tunings and Baritone that I really hear it.

Line 6 great work on the instrument.

I have a UX2 that I had been using POD Farm 2.5 with. I have recently switched to another interface. I would like to still be able to use POD Farm and my model packs that I have already purchased, but not be required to have the UX2 connected to the PC. What are my options for not requiring the UX2 to be connected to the PC and still have full use of POD Farm 2.5 and my model packs? Do I need to purchase something like an iLok or something else?
