You should try to tweak with your band/son playing your patch(es) and tweak to your ear. Maybe try a mid-focus EQ after the POD mixer?

JTV 69 / HD 500...howling ?

I own a JTV 69/HD500 and on some patches there is a high pitched howling/feedback sound until I palm mute. I use Elixir lights for strings which I switched to recently. I also experienced this howling with Ernie Ball Cobalts. Could it be the strings?

Any thoughts or suggestion would be appreciated

Use MID-FOCUS Eq. ~ set it with all other FX off,tweak with FX on after ( I place between AMP and MIXER usually) .

set gain to unity (around 9)

set LPF at 100

Q's at 50

set HP to where it sound good to your ear (30ish)

ALSO ~ in the AMP section of edit turn the cabinet parameter low cut to between 40 and 80 HZ range.

Delay FX can mud up your sound also.

Thanx Rich ! Just a thought...maybe start a stickie that a user can go to that has any periodic updates you may give. It sure beats surfin' through 82 pages to find tangible info.

If running only one output (left XLR) is it best to center both mixer pans ?
