They are the solid metal bendy type connections, and it looked tight and straight. I had new duracells in there.

I'd really prefer to send it to you guys to fix, but since I bought it through Sweetwater 13 months ago, there warranty is still in effect. What's your thought on this? Do you think they would know how to work on these? I could maybe just take it in to one of your authorized service centers so I wouldn't be without so long. Hopefully ... I've grown quite fond of this microphone lol.

I finally had the opportunity twice this last week. The first gig went well on Wednesday. I had decided not to turn off the mic during breaks though, to see if it might help. I'd remembered that when this first occurred, it was right after coming back from a break and turning the mic back on. Then, Friday nights gig was going fine until we took a break and I turned off the mic. When I turned it back on there was nothing. There was no RF signal at all and the receiver was only 15 feet away. I had 6 hr of battery life, but went ahead and unscrewed the battery cover to check it out. That when the loud popping noice came and the RF spiked each time there was a pop. Whenever I turned the cover it would pop. When It finallt settled down, the RF leveled was up and down, and my voice was fading in and out. Luckily I had a hard wired mic on hand to switch out quickly, but it was still embarrassing. I have to have equipment I can count on for sure.

Any other thoughts on this? The humidity level has been very dry here for the last couple of weeks, so that shouldn't of been a problem.

As far as the RF meter, I will have to wait for it to happen again I guess. I will practice with it the next couple days and see what happens. I also talked to Sweetwater Music today where I purchased this. They have a two year warranty on everything, so they said I could send it to them for repair. I think yours is only for 1 year, and unfortunately I'm about 3 weeks over that right now. Anyway, I'm not sure I'm ready to do that yet. This system has just always been so reliable up until last Friday and Saturday night, I hate the thought of shipping it off if I don't have to.

The first night I had this problem we were playing outside. It was a bit misty, but never rained. The next night we played inside, and I had no problem until we were two hours into the gig.

I did forgot to mention something in my first post.

The second night this happened, I totally lost my signal for about 15 seconds after the popping noise. It was like somebody pressed the mute button, but then it came back on. Again, after we got it back, there were no more problems.

Just out of no where I get a popping noise that of course comes through really loud over the P.A. The microphone was on the stand not being moved when this happened. After the popping noise stopped I was able to continue using it without any problem. I do take it on and off the mic stand quite a bit when I sing, and that clamp is pretty tight that it slides in and out of. Has anyone else had this problem yet? It sounds like a loose connection, but nothing is being moved at the time.

Do I need to replace that with any certain type, or can I just pick up a snap on type one from Radioshack, or snag one off an old toy or something? It broke off right at the cap so I dont think I can use the old one.
