Since I never use my JTV without HD500, I've decided to sell JTV batteries and charger. They are never used, I've just tested if all is working. Come in original package. I'm going to try to sell them through eBay but I want to offer them here first. So if anyone's interested PM me for details. Europe only (shipping costs). Price: 100 EUR incl. shipping.

You can "tell" HD Edit to recieve original preset from HD500 (I can't verify this 100% right now). Also if you don't send edited sound to HD500, once you unplug it from PC, you will have all original patches (If you don't send patches to HD500 using send button). And you can of course backup all presets before doing all your "experimental" cases, too.

As far as I know, there aren't any products of this kind. I agree it might be great for practising - using VDI-usb cable you can get information what tone you play on each string using proper (and curently not available/not known) software, so you can track how precisely you play this or that....

Do you have any possibility (music store, friend) to try your JTV with any Line6 VDI equiped gear - HD500, X3 Live, etc.? Or someone with older Variax with A/B box (http://www.thomann.de/gb/line6_ab_fusstaster.htm) ? That way you can be sure if it's battery or something else.

Unfortunatelly no, this was possible with X3 live but not with HD500.

You can adjust volume using mixer block.

To recieve email notifications, see right column and it's uppest part Actions (you need to be logged in).

Crusty_Old_Rocker has good point in one of this topics: The magnetic pickups feed into the digital circuitry so that the audio signal can travel through the VDI cable. This means that if you put in a pickup that is too "hot" it could result in clipping within the Variax circuitry. You would want to be sure that the impedance and output of the pickups are comparible to what's already in there otherwise the levels could be all out of whack even if there isn't any clipping.
