I think it would be best to have the USB connection on the amp, that way people may not want to add the pedalboard right away, or can't afford to buy both at the same time.

i know some that just don't want it, and that will hurt sales if you need to buy a pedal board just to keep your amp updated or add / upload sound tones or edit.

just my 2 cents. as i never use the pedal board while recording at home. only for edits to my channels.

Here is the link to my tone.. i'm doing things a little out of the box on my guitar setup.

I am using a seymour duncan JB jr. single coil humbucker in my Les Paul.

bought it for my strat, but wantd to test it in the LP 1st, loved it, so that is where it's staying.

I also added a phaser along with the tone..

I was playing around with my endless search for tone, and i stumbled on a setting that sounds very close to my 79 Marshall JMP 50.

was trying to find a good setting for a SRV sound for my Strat, and got very close, then by chance i grabbed my Les Paul, and plugged it in.

to my surprise it was exactly what i was looking for, also during recording, if i pan the guitar 100% to the left and add all the reverb, delay, and a touch of phaser to the right channel.

it become one of the best EVH tones i have heard, i have had coments that it also sounds a bit Goerge Lynch, but that could be my style of playing also.?

I'm also using this for the Bass track as well, i just need a better Bass guitar,

the one i have is a old POS i'm using from a friend....lol

update, bought a used Jackson Bass, but still didn't improve my playing...lol

but it sounds better, no noise, and much easier to play.

I'm using my UX2 to run a mic from my amp to the UX2, then into my multitrack program.

all levels are fine, i just want to know is there a way to get a raw sound from my amp, no FX, no EQ from pod farm or gearbox,

just my amp sound, i tried using one of the Vocal presets, but it changes the tone.

any work around to just get my amp sound only..

if your wondering why i'm doing it this way, is because i like the sound of my amp over the pod farm tones.

i have only had this unit for 2 days, and haven't had the time to test everything,

but my amp is ready to go, turn it on and play.... amp is a Line 6 Spider lV 75. mic is a Sure sm57

+1 on good thick speaker cables.. do not use guitar cables as speaker cables.

I can confirm that when you crank these amps up, they do change tone quite a bit.

I have presets for home volume, and live volume, solved my problems...

you need to find a place where you can turn it up loud, and tweak your sound, and then save it.

the gate will not change your sound / tone,

it is used if you have a noisey guitar singal / hum.

it works like a gate on a fence, you can adjust it to open with very little signal, or more signal,

it will only open when your playing your guitar to let the signal through, once you stop playing, it closes.

shutting off the signal from the guitar to make your amp quite.
