I don't remember who gave me the wrong information. I know some of the documentation I saw was confusing and it seemed that it was possible to achieve what I wanted to do. I also think at one time the Line 6 Monkey setting or documentation listed the Spider amp and/or Fretboard.

Is it possible to store the settings in the Spider III HD150 amp and give a name that I can recall using the FBV Shortboard?

It would nice if there was an updated ROM chip that could be replaced to get the updates.

Yes, I purchased the amp and shortboard about a year ago. I waited months for a reply in one of the forums and to date there was no reply so I deleted a few days ago . I bought the amp and pedal when I was told I can add tones from a database of songs, sounds presets that can be downloaded and installed using the Line 6 Monkey - which I found out to be incorrect and I'm not too happy about that .

So, if I can not add or update any tones using the Line 6 Monkey, can I add the patches manually, replacing existing FXs and sounds (that are currently installed in amp which I don't use) and recall them using the Short Board? And, where can I find this database or list?

Hi,

Since there is not going to be any updates to the Spider III HD150, I was wondering if there is a database, chart or list of tone settings (Bass=n, Treb=n, Echo=n... etc) that I can enter manually to replace and rename existing tones as a preset?

At the present time I only use two of the preset tones and would like to have a pedal and amp that can change settings on he fly rather than remembering a setting and turning the knob.

According to the following chart http://line6.com/footcontrollers/compatibility.html the FBV Shortboard Mark II will work with the Spider HD150 amp. So, this will allow me to add tones using the FBV Software and the USB port? I made a mistake last time by purchasing the FBV Shortboard and want to make sure before it will work before I make a purchase tomorrow.

Manual currently states Spider IV HD150 and NOT the Spider III HD150.

Hello Everyone,

I recently bought a new Spider III HD 150 amp (and cab) & Short Board and was wondering if there is any way I download more tones?

I downloaded the Line 6 Monkey program as it was listed as compatiable with the FBV short board, but this device does not have a midi or USB port.

So how do I get the tones in there? Any help would be appreciated.
