I ask this question to establish whether it's just a hardware problem with the Phones output jack or if the Analog Outs 1/2 are also affected.

I've never known a bad Phones jack to omit guitar sounds, though. Are you sure that the guitar tracks aren't muted in your recording software? Or, are you just streaming a stereo 2-track mix in iTunes or Windows Media Player? This is important to know.

The KB37 can only transmit (MIDI notes, CC's, PC's, etc.) on one active MIDI Channel # at a time.

I think what you're trying to do is learn about how to create a device in your MIDI software sound device (if you have a drum machine-like sound device), where each pad/slot is loaded with a different drum sample. The key here is to learn how to assign each pad in that device to a MIDI Note # that falls into a logic that you desire.

i.e. C, C#, D, D#, E (these are 5 consecutive MIDI keys (white, black, white, black, white) from the lower-left of the KB37. You have to find out how to set the "mapping" of the drum machine device's pads to those MIDI note #'s in Fruity Loops, so that those first 5 keys on your KB37 will trigger whatever sounds you have loaded into those 5 pads in the software drum machine device.

You'll want to consult your Fruity Loops operation manual for info on how to do that.

Switching between the ABCD and FS 5-8 assignment can only be done by pressing down the "VIEW" button on the HD500/Pro/Bean unit itself for longer than 3 seconds.
Re: no load and partial use of POD farms

I went through your account and saw that you do indeed have a POD X3 registered. However, I'm not sure if you knew this, but GearBox is the standalone software editor program that your device interfaces with... and with your particular X3 unit, POD Farm 1.12 VST/AU/RTAS Plug-In within a support DAW recording host program will work.

POD Farm 2.51 requires the purchase of a POD Farm 2 license, which isn't in your account. I suspect that you downloaded and installed POD Farm 2.51 and checked it out. The symptom you intially described in your question falls in line with this guess: you described opening up POD Farm 2.51 in "Demo Mode" with 3 guitar amp models. This occurs when the user who is running POD Farm 2.51 is doing so without the presence of a purchased POD Farm 2 license that needs to be authorized into their X3. Keep in mind that you'll have to launch POD Farm as a Plug-In Effect within a DAW!
