I'll fix and sell it, then it's GOOD RIDDANCE LINE 6 (after a lot of problems with my X3 and now this "Highly Destructible" version).

I'd give my left pinky toe for the Big Bottom amp that I had in the X3 live....

ps.: Oh, and separate output controls for XLR and 1/4' (like the ones X3 live has).

My band recorded this DVD in december 2011, I used only the X3 live for my guitar sound (the amp was there just as a prop, I'm using in-ear monitors). The sound came out just the way I like it and it was the same in my ears during the performance (stereo and everything).

I agree with the original poster, I've been using the X3 live for 4 years (through joy and pain, as any x3 owner will agree) and I've just bought an HD500. What an unpleasant surprise it was to find out that I can't anymore taylor my amp sound without destroying my FOH sound! That was a very interesting feature and I can't understand why line 6 would get rid of it, I'd much rather have that back and give the looper away in return.

I've had someone custom-build this case for me here in Brazil. It cost around US$250. It's great for crazy fans running on stage and flying beer cans/cups.

I'll post pictures when the new case is ready!

Hello folks!

Still looking for measurements for my case. I'll post pictures when its ready, but basically it's the same as the one I've been using for 3~4 years with my X3 live. A normal case with a protection lid inside, that covers half the board, like this (but with a transparent lid made of heavy-duty fiberglass instead of plywood):

But in order for the protection lid to be perfect I need the following measurements (A and B):

Metric is preferred but imperial is accepted!

Hi!

I'm ordering a case for a HD500 (which I don't possess at the time) and I need to know the measurement from the front edge of the board to the handle but without considering the angle (measuring flat from the top). Just so I know the lateral cutaway length of the case.

Hi,

My band will be making a live dvd soon, and the sound engineer would like to have 3 different sound sources for my guitar:

1) The POD X3 live sound (easy!)

2) A clean, unprocessed sound (ok, maybe the spdif or another one I haven't thought about)

3) A good, small amp located in the backstage. (ok, I could use the fx send to send a clean sound to the amp and then I'd have to find a way to change the amp's channels from the pod x3... midi maybe? Is it possible to use a guitar cable from pedal 2 to an amp and change its channels?)

Has anybody done 2 or 3 successfully?

I'd appreciate any suggestions!

No, they aren't regulated, have you ever measured the output voltage? It varies according to the input voltage, here it's 129Vac and the output is around 11vac. So if the guy's psu is rated for 100v, once he plugs it into a 120v outlet he will get a significantly higher voltage than the 9vac he was supposed to get, if that will harm his equipment is something only line 6 can answer, since they know the highest voltage it can take.

How people can assume something and then advise others based on assumptions is beyond me.
