I've had my Podxt Live for about 3 years now and can't say I've ever had a great tone coming from any amp I've plugged into.

I have a Spider II 30 (with the drive at 0 and bass, mid and treble at 12 o clock (i believe this is for a flat eq?)) and play a Jackson RR5 with the original Seymour Duncan humbucker pickups and no matter how much I mess with the on board amp settings the sound always come out "light" and "thin".

I'd love to get the "Marshall sound" coming out but I don't know where to start to get it. I downloaded a few of the custom tones and they were almost there. I think (I really don't have a clue lol) my problem is the EQ settings and I'm not 100% sure how to set them or what to set them for.

It's probably a really naive question but I've been surfing the web and forums for about 2 weeks straight now and can't find an answer to my supidity lol

I've got my clean sound sorted to a degree (it's about 90% there) but the distortion is evading me.

I would love to get a similar tone to Zakk Wylde (Steel Dragon sound). I play balls to the wall rock and roll in the band I'm in.

Any and all help is welcome and thanks in advance for your feedback and patience.

Mayor
