Ux1 Ableton Live 7 and new CPU advice

As far as I know my motherboard in my computer that I built in 2007 is dead. It's an Asus P5B express with an intel core 2 e6600 CPU. My question is would an Asus P8 z77 mobo with an i3 3.2ghz CPU work well with Ableton Live 7 line 6 edition? Before my mobo died my old CPU worked well with Ableton.

Thinking about the M-audio BX5 D2, found them for as low as $250 new including stands. Does this seem like a good combo with my ux1?

New UX1 owner with some ideas

I've had my UX1 for 2 months now and I love it for recording and hearing new amp tones. I don't have any studio monitors yet so i'm just using my headphones hooked up to it for now. I discovered that the Metal Shop addon has models for two Diezel amps. My question is whearter or not the Diezel amp models sound good with the addon package. My practice amp is a Peavey Vypry 30 and my favorite tone for metal (black metal) is the 'Diezel Botique' model. Will Metal Shp sound as good or better than the Vyper version?
