and different users handle the gear differently...

if you could pin all those topics back to one particular thing that caused the issue... then they would surely fix it.

but if it just stops working for a variety of reasons for a variety of users then you can't really call it faulty.

well just so you know... here is what you get:

hardware independence... you could use any interface

native x64bit plugins

elements (you can run certain effects alone, rather than a full instance of pod farm... save some cpu on large projects)

and midi control... i don't believe that you can use control pod farm via midi with version 1.

yeah pod farm 2.5 will work as a trial only with no addons unless you pay for it...

get a pod farm 2.5 license and you'll be able to use your addons.

did you actually buy pod farm 2? perhaps it won't let you use them because you have no pod farm 2 license (its not typically a free upgrade)

they will work... you just need to use the license manager part of line6 monkey and activate the addons.

you bought it used... you never had a warranty and have no idea how the unit was treated by the previous owner...

buying used is taking a chance....

i have to disagree about the tech support...

first... you've never given them a dime... you bought it used...

the fact that they respond to you at all, is a gift not a paid service.

besides... things break and the answer is not always able to be had over a phone call.

it may well be something very easy to fix internally... but they do not support unqualified users to work on the internals of any equipment.

sounds like you have nothing to lose by looking at it yourself if you feel you can fix it...

sorry about your bad luck with this... it happens...

they added the no cab option in the firmware, if you're updated to the latest it will have the no cab option.

the thing gets crazy loud with the gain... but it doesn't do the clean no gain sound as loud as i'd like... don't care much for gain on my bass rig.

the express has the same foot switches as the XT live... and i did suggest to them that i liked that better myself.... i think phils right though... not much chance of their return.
