I've read that before but wasn't quite sure how to interpret it since there were other conflicting statements in the manual.

But anyhow, I'll just assume that plugging into the internal jack supplies 50W to the external speaker.

Flextone plus cab wattage

Hi there,

I have a question regarding the power output of the flextone 3 plus when connected to an external cab.

it is my understanding that when an 8 ohm cab is connected to the "Right" speaker jack, 75W is supplied to the internal speaker, plus another 75W to the external speaker for a total of 150W. Now, when connecting an external cab to the "Left" speaker jack (which bypasses the internal speaker), is the amp supplying the externl cab with 75W or 150W?

This has been puzzling me for a while now, any help would be appreciated.

Ok, issue resolved!

I had unplugged my M-audio midi interface to plug my Ipod in. I Put it back in and sound is back! Seems like I need to have something in USB port 2 at all times for toneport in USB port 1 not to crackle. strange

Hope this helps anyone who encounters a similar issue.

Hi there,

I have been using my toneport for years now with no issues. Last week I purchased an Ipod touch and installed itunes. I have always had bad experiences with Itunes but this is by far the worst!

All sounds from my computer are now crackled/fuzzed/distorted unless my Ipod is plugged in to the USB port. Once plugged in, the sound is flawless. This is a nuisance since I have to plug in my ipod to have any kind of audio from my PC. I do not understand how the Ipod can affect the toneport but it does!

I have downloaded all the latest drivers for Toneport, Line 6 Monkey, Itunes and Ipod to no avail. Tweaked every imaginable setting and still no luck, which is why I am approaching you guys. Hopefully you have encountered this issue before and will be able to help me.

Thank you! I didn't think of that, I usually only double track distorted guitars but I guess it would sound good with clean guitars too. I'll try it out thanks.

Just a cover I did on the weekend, I thought it would sound good with a guitar. Only 6 tracks recorded into reaper using nothing but the Toneport UX1.

Wow! That's awesome man! Love that bottom end "bounce" on the lower riffs! Very good production! I usually get bored of instrumentals but I listened to Omega all the way through.
