I know very little about midi. I want to hook up my HD500 to my Roland DR drum machinevia midi cables. I am hoping to use the HD500 as the master timer in order to keep my drum machine in tempo with guitar loops that I lay down. How in the world do I do that or can it even be done? I think I could probably just record the drums into the loop but I want to be able to change drum patches outside of the HD500 loop to change up the rhythm pattern of the loop.

Can you do something to Globally bypass all amp models or do you have to omit them with each patch? I really don't need the amp models..I just want to use the effects..Thanks..

This may sound dumb but WTF...Can I plug the HD 500 into the effects loop of my amp? Would I use the effects loop inputs of the HD 500? thanks..

Tap Tempo

When creating a new patch how do you set it up so that the Tap Tempo button actually works to control tempo of the new patch? For example, just a tremelo effect. I do not want to have to get a seperate patch for different songs requiring a different tempo. I know the Tap Tempo works on preloaded stuff but I can't seem to get it to control new patches I create. Thanks..
